Seawall collects no personal data. It has no internet access, so nothing can leave your device.

What Seawall does

Seawall is an app for Android and iOS that blocks apps and websites you choose, during the hours you set. Everything happens on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no server.

Data we collect

None. Seawall does not collect, store on any server, share or sell any information about you. On Android the app is built without the INTERNET permission, which you can verify in your phone's app settings under Permissions. On iOS the app makes no network requests.

Data stored on your device only

• Your block rules (app names, website keywords, schedules).
• A salted hash of your lock code. The code itself is never stored.
• Daily counts of how many times a block was shown, kept for 40 days for the statistics screen.
• Your language choice.

This data lives in the app's private storage, is excluded from cloud backup, and is deleted when you uninstall Seawall.

Screen Time on iOS

On iOS, Seawall uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity) to shield the apps and websites you choose. Apple applies the shields on your device. Seawall never receives the names of the apps you use or the sites you visit: the apps you pick are stored on your device only as opaque tokens that even Seawall cannot read. Screen Time data is used solely for the blocking you configure and is never shared.

Accessibility Service on Android

Seawall uses the Android Accessibility API for one purpose: to know which app is in the foreground and which address is open in your browser, so it can block what you asked it to block. Seawall reads the package name of the foreground app and scans the text shown in browser windows only to find web addresses; any other text is discarded immediately and never stored. While protection is locked with your code, it also reads the system Settings and app-install screens to detect attempts to disable or uninstall it. It does not record anything you see and does not transmit anything anywhere. Seawall is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities; the API is used only for the blocking feature described above, with your explicit consent given inside the app.

Turning protection off

You are always in control. Protection can be turned off at any time with your lock code, or, without the code, after a 24-hour waiting period that you can start from inside the app. You can also disable the Accessibility service (Android), revoke Screen Time access (iOS) or uninstall the app from your phone's settings.

Children

Seawall is intended for adults managing their own device use. It is not directed at children and is not a parental-control product.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
